Most dubbed versions suck in my opinion. I find the only half-decent dubs are
the ones where they use actual actors, like some of the Ghibli movies. Voice
actors tend to try too hard and it ends up messing everything up.
Wow, that's really stupid. You should have a nice talk with your mom and tell
her that this dude's full of crap and explain why your interest in anime is
important to you. As DREAM suggested, maybe siting down with her and watching a
Miyazaki movie is a good idea too.
Also, you're not seven. I wouldn't let my parents control my interests.
I've been searching for Kiddy Grade conclusion scans like these ones.
I already have Tweedledee/Tweedledum, Armburst/Pfielspitze, Dextera/Sinistra and
Un-Ou/A-Ou.
I'm looking for the ones of Alv and
Dvergr, Viola and Cesario and, if
there is one, Eclair and Lumiere. I know
some of the ones I'm missing used to be on MT, but they were deleted and I
literally cannot find them anywhere. I'm
working on a vector project that requires these scans.
I'd say about 25 minutes to read through the manga [if it's in English -
Japanese takes me about 4-5 hours]. But it takes me months - maybe even years -
to examine the artwork. :p
Hiraku-San - the anime is called NHK ni Youkoso! [Welcome to the NHK!]
I love NHK ni Youkoso! It's so funny, in a really weird and twisted way. It
reminds me of the Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu variety of humor. I'll also
agree that the storyline is quite original. It's one of the main series I'm
watching right now.
Quote by xmonkiehum... i don't really
like it that much. i stopped watching after that lesbian girl got
pregnant.
Uhh....she never got pregnant, that was a
joke.
Anyway.
Loveless isn't creepy at all to me. Soubi even blatantly tells Ritsuka at some
point that Seimei ordered him to fall in love with him. The whole
fighter/sacrifice thing also has romantic connotations, and it's all part of the
story. Plus, it's cute, in my opinion.
Well, it really depends. If it's a sensible name I actualy like, then maybe, but
I'm not about to call my kid GARGANTUA or freaking...SANDALPHON or anything like
that.
Can you imagine naming your kid HOR-SAMA? Neither can I.
Pets are a different matter. I have the names of my future pets all planned out.
Quote by auradereccaHAha, nv heard of
this before. But seems that they must be pretty good for u to be so in love with
the art and all. HAha.. sorry but i'm more into the Jap anime and manga scene.
=P
I wasn't really sure where to put this thread, since it's comic-book related,
but isn't anime or manga. So I chose hobbies, if it's in the wrong place,
well....feel free to move it! :p
I was wondering if anyone else on MiniTokyo has ever read the Yoko Tsuno comic
book series by Roger Leloup. The comics are Belgian, but are also translated
into French and German. I'm pretty sure those are the only languages they're
available in. My parents sent me to a French school, and when I was younger I'd
always take them out of the school library and return them extremely late, because I was in love with
them.
Here are some pictures taken off the official website. Sometimes the name of the
comic doesn't ring a bell, but the art does.
I'd just like to know if my friend and I are the only people who have read these
books or not, or if anyone else is interested in ligne-claire style art or
comics. Discuss!
Quote by laurentYeah, happened to me too.
I'm currently letting my hair grow longer, and I'm finally starting to get some
decent result. I used to have really really short hair for years but then got
sick of it and decided never to have it short again. But my mom started sighing
it was getting a bit too messy, so I went to get it cut a little bit. Though I
had clearly given my orders, the barber screw up by cutting off way too much,
making me for two weeks long look like a mushroom. I was soooo depressed ... I
nearly locked myself away. Since then I decided to let my hair grow without a
haircut for a real long time, not caring about what others think or say
..::DarkWingedDemon::..
I know what you mean,
you clearly tell them what you want, and then they proceed to ignore you.
So, as the title suggests - Who else has had a bad, totally horrible, or just
unexpectedly short haircut?
I'm sure everyone has had at least one, and I'd like to hear your stories. I was
inspired to make this thread after going to the hair salon last night, asking
for a trim and getting 2 inches taken off my already-short hair [Thank god for
hats ]. So, whether it's a mushroom cut gone wrong, an accidental mullet or just
too much length taken off, what has been your worst haircut experience? We all
know that some hairdressers enjoy using our heads to test their strange ideas.
It's not the end of the world and hair always grows back, but it's still fun to
share.
Well, I'm an insanely huge geek when it comes to Japanese seiyuu, so I associate
almost every character I hear with at least two other characters. A lot of them
are instantly recognizable, like Morikubo Shoutarou, Ishida Akira, Minagawa
Junko and Kanna Nobutoshi, but others are harder. It's actually fun to try and
place their voices.
It's not really important, breast size does not make the person you're in love
with. Aesthetically, I think small breasts look better than bigger ones.
Besides, when you like someone that much, they become attractive to you.

It's a heart.

Writing my Religious Studies paper. And possibly sleeping.>=D
I haven't cried yet, but Kamio Misuzu from AIR almost got me.
The color of someone's skin says nothing about who they are. ^_^
Oh, well they're really not that small, I re-sized them to upload them to imageshack. They were originally around 2500x1000. ^^;

I'd have to kick some ass.
I like Kajiura Yuki, Katsuhisa Hattori and Iwasaki Taku.

Oh, so am I, but these are nostalgic to me. :p
They're, uh....annoying. And should die in fires.
I'm gonna go with Tare-Ginji from GetBackers.

My favorite will always be Paku Romi, though.
Hey, same here, Hanajima. ^_^

No, it's not wrong. It's hot.
Very nice character designs, I'll have to check out some of her doujinshi.
